Gail has been powerfully
drawn toward movement as a healing modality for the past 28 years. She
began her career as a registered nurse in 1984, enjoying the hands on
and relational aspect of nursing care. In 1987, she was certified as a
Trager® Practitioner and started using touch and rhythmic movement
to reach the needs of her clients. She has worked with many variations
of chronic pain, stiff and frozen joints, trauma both physical and
emotional, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, fibromyalgia, depression,
general malaise, life dissatisfaction, and many ailments that seemed to
have no cause or cure, but were reached by Trager.
In 1995, Gail discovered the
5Rhythms® Movement practice as a tool for answering her personal
passion for dance, music, self-expression, self-exploration, and
spiritual connection. In 2004, she completed the teacher training with
Gabrielle Roth and is now Certified as a 5Rhythms® Waves
teacher.
Trager work and the 5Rhythms
Movement Practice
inform and compliment each other. Gail has used both in her own healing
journey and in her private practice called Movement as Healer.
Gail started Movement as Healer
in Maine and in 2009 moved to Alaska to live with her boys. She is
currently Executive Director of Homer Council on the Arts and
very excited about growing a new 5Rhythms community in Homer.
